The Dedication of St Michael the Archangel

St Michael in the Japanese style*

The Mass in the Extraordinary Form next Sunday (29th September) will be at St Benedict's Church, Sketty, Swansea at 3pm.

It is the feast of the Dedication of St Michael the Archangel and Holy Mother Church, being under attack on all sides, needs his intercession perhaps more now than at any other time in history.

St Michael is, of course, next to Our Lady, the main opponent to Satan and this prayer is the one to pray....

Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in proelio; contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium. Imperat illi Deus; supplices deprecamur: tuque, Princeps militiae coelestis, Satanam aliosque spiritus malignos, qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo, divina virtute in infernum detrude. Amen

Holy Michael Archangel, defend us in the day of battle, be our safeguard and protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; may God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust down into hell Satan and all wicked spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

The Extraordinary Form of Mass in Menevia Diocese will be celebrated this coming Sunday 10th March at 5pm at the Church of St Therese of Lisieux, Sandfields, near Port Talbot.

Sunday 21st October at 2pm.

EF Mass for Sunday 26th August....

......will be at 12 noon at St Joseph's Cathedral, Swansea, mother church of Menevia Diocese.

Help us to ensure that this regular EF Mass is maintained by coming to the Cathedral next Sunday (even if you are from outside of the Diocese).

The Confraternity also thanks Fr Michael Burke for offering this Mass each month on behalf of the Diocese.

Your prayers are requested for Professor Robin Whatley who is ill at this time.

Also - a reminder about the Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Cardigan on 2nd September.

Devotions commence at 2pm followed by an EF Mass (thanks to Mgr Johnson). This pilgrimage is organised by the Latin Mass Society.
